Thank You For A Great Year!
It has been a pleasure to work with, learn from, and serve beside you this year! We talk a lot about The Great Surprise you experience when you live and work according the principles of emergence, instead of trying to plan and control everything. But this year we really experienced it!
When we started out the year, we had no idea that our team--together with help and encouragement from so many friends and partners--would start a new publishing house, produce our first six books, and go on a tour with stops in nine North American cities. We had no idea how many new people we'd meet, ideas we'd wrestle with, projects we'd tackle, or places we'd go. These things emerged where the gifts, passions, and needs of our friends and partners converged with our own. We can't wait to see what the new year brings!
This month's newsletter includes just a few of the things we're looking forward to!
Happy Holidays to you and those you love.

"Treasure in Clay Jar" Tour Extended!
The ARE team will be hitting the road again with stops in at least 4 cities in the US heartland in early 2010: Cleveland, OH (Feb. 4), Janesville, WI (Feb. 11), St. Louis, MO (March 4), Minneapolis, MN (March 9).At each stop we'll be sharing a post-missional, post-modern approach to life and work that will help you rethink and renew your ministry today...for the sake of God's emerging future. You'll go home with stuff to think about and things you can actually do to help you make the shift from the consumable ministry practices of this modern era to a renewable, life-giving way of being church together.
If you register before the end of the year, you can get the 2009 early-bird rate of $59.00. Registration opens TODAY!
