Sign of the Times

We spotted this sign in a hotel bathroom recently. Talk about working playfully. We bet it's given a chuckle to a lot of weary travelers, too.

 

What have you done recently to bring a smile to the faces of the people in your little corner of the universe? What has made you laugh lately? We know these are tough times for a lot of folks out there. Maybe for you. To be sure, this recession has given us a headache or two. 

But we think that's just all the more reason to create opportunities to play and to laugh. Who can you do that with today?

I was preaching a sermon where I wanted the listeners to claim their identity in Jesus in every situation of their lives. So it went something like this.....When that alarm goes off and you begin a new day, you say, "I belong to Jesus!" And when you are packing up your backpack and finding all the stuff you need for school you remind yourself, "I belong to Jesus." And when you are commuting to work and a car cuts you off, you say, "I..........belong to Jesus." Everyone in the congregation knew that they were thinking of saying something else. We laughed together.
