The end of the year always brings lots of lists:
- Person of the year
- Top ten movies of the year
- Top worst movies of the year!
- Most livable cities
- Etc.
Daniel Pink does homage to a "facty-holiday" on his blog this month. He gets his info from "Uncle Sam's Almanac." And he helps make the case that the world is changing. Fast.
As if we didn't know that.
People sent twice as many text messages in 2008 than they did in 2007. 9 out of 10 Americans (including children!) own a cell phone. The number of newspaper readers in the US is plummeting.
Etc.
That's what Dan reports. Well, here's another little factoid:
In the emerging future, leaders will be learners.
What's your learning strategy this year? Who will you ask to challenge, wrestle, and grow with you? What books are you going to read (not just buy!)? When will you make time to do that? Who's going to hold you accountable? How are you going to stoke the fires of your imagination? Where will you make time in your schedule to play? Explore? Invent?
We'll do our part.
You've got just 4 days to get 2009 prices on all of our 2010 workshops.
But your learning is up to you.
What're you going to do about it?
